WCC Review of its Statement of Licensing Policy

The Council has recently published its Review of its Statement of Licensing Policy, and it is now out for consultation. The consultation document is available to view here.

There are two parts to the review.

Part 1 covers areas of the Policy which it is proposed should be revised, and seeks views on the issues raised and proposed revisions.

Part 2 invites submissions in relation to the current ‘stress area’ boundaries and other areas of the city which may be considered to be suffering from ‘cumulative impact’ arising from a large number of late night and/or drink-led premises.

There is also an opportunity to comment on any other issues in relation to the Policy which are not covered in the review.

Stakeholders such as residents, residents’ associations and amenity societies are able to respond formally to the consultation. We may be able to provide advice on aspects of the review on which residents, residents’ associations and amenity societies are interested in commenting.

Consultation responses should be emailed to [email protected] or posted to Chris Wroe, Licensing Policy and Strategy Manager, Westminster City Council, 11th Floor City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London SW1E 6QP.

The closing date for the consultation is 15 May 2015.
